On Saturday, December 7, Associated Food Stores team members gathered at the company’s distribution center to kick off the holiday season with a morning of festive activities. The event included a hearty breakfast, a visit from Santa Claus, and opportunities for team members and their families to connect with members of the executive team and celebrate together.
Following the gathering at the distribution center, attendees made their way to Walker Theater for a special movie showing. Team members could choose which of several popular movies to view. Before each film, team members enjoyed the premiere of the annual AFS Christmas video, a lighthearted and heartfelt production featuring members of the executive team and other leaders.
“This event is a wonderful way to bring our team together and celebrate the season,” said Glen Keysaw, vice president of distribution. “We extend gratitude to Terri Jensen, who coordinates and improves the event every year, and everyone else who helped plan and coordinate the festivities, ensuring everyone had a memorable day.”
A similar celebration is scheduled for December 14 in Salt Lake City, offering another opportunity for team members to enjoy holiday cheer. A video recap highlighting both events will be available in Team News following the events.
