First Lady Abby Cox and her Show Up initiative spent this week reaching out to local teachers to show appreciation for the important role that teachers play in the lives of our youth.
Brunch was donated by Macey’s Market to Hawthorne and Bennion Elementary teachers, including one of Macey’s signature items, their delicious parfaits. Members of the legislature were also given a total of fifty $20 gift cards to Macey’s stores, that will be passed out to teachers across the state, thanking them for their service.
“We spent time not only thanking teachers but also listening to them,” said Sarah Pettit, PR Manager for AFS. “Teachers had questions regarding school boundaries with advice on how to keep schools properly funded. The discussion was collaborative and thought-provoking.”
Macey’s is proud to support local teachers and local government, and the company recognizes the value of providing happy shopping experiences for the foundational people in the community.
