As the Silver King Fire continues to rage, Lin’s in Richfield has donated important water to assist those battling the growing wildfire.
In addition to Lin’s generous donation of a pallet of water, firefighters also purchased $6,000 worth of supplies from the store, including Gatorade, to stay hydrated and maintain their energy levels while combating the blaze.
The fire, which ignited in the Beaver Creek drainage area of Fish Lake National Forest due to a lightning strike, rapidly expanded and reached 10,823 acres, according to state fire officials.
Fire crews faced challenging conditions, including intense heat, strong winds and rugged terrain. Fixed-wing aircraft were grounded due to turbulent winds, while helicopters continue to be heavily utilized in the firefighting efforts. Despite these difficulties, firefighters worked tirelessly to protect nearby structures and communities.
“We’re incredibly happy to help provide these needed essentials to these community heroes,” said Steve Holm, district manager in the Southern Region. “Jeff Brough, and the rest of the team in Richfield, are doing a tremendous job of helping the community in this difficult time.”
Authorities implemented voluntary evacuations for the Upper Bullion area and residents were evacuated as the fire threatened their homes. Despite the rapid growth of the fire, no structures have been lost, according to Marysvale City officials.
Lin’s contribution is playing an important role in helping the community overcome this challenge and the store team is being recognized for their ongoing commitment to serving those who live in and visit the area.
