On May 29th, the AFS corporate office held a Grill & Gather lunch, where team members were invited to bring something to grill and a side to share. There were burgers, brats, hot dogs, and even a peanut butter & jelly sandwich (that was grilled!). Kathleen Lund, who is originally from Rochester, NY, shared her Zweigle’s Hot Dogs with her team. She claims that they are so good that she brings them back when she goes to visit. Associated provided the water and dessert for the team members who supported the event. There were baked beans, fruit, chips and lots of delicious salads. A notable platter came from Robert Smith, who made Pao de Queijo, a Brazilian Cheese Puff.
Denise Ward, a senior executive assistant, expressed satisfaction with the lunchtime event. “It was a great way to spend the lunch hour together out on the patio,” she said. “We had a smaller turnout for our first one, but look forward to having more during the summer. Gather your friends and join us for the next one!”
