Leaders at the distribution center in Farr West introduced Bridge and Engage to the warehouse team over the past few weeks.
Bridge, AFS’ new intranet is powered by Microsoft SharePoint, a robust and versatile platform that offers enhanced collaboration, communication and content management capabilities. It’s a significant upgrade from the previous intranet, providing a more user-friendly interface, improved integration and seamless access to the latest features.
Barry Anderson, one of the leaders in Farr West, discussed Engage in the team’s weekly video. Engage is an integrated team member engagement platform that fosters team member connections, relationships, comradery and engagement company wide. Engage includes features such as interactive news feeds, surveys, polls and communities, aiming to enhance the team member experience and promote a sense of belonging within the organization. Team members are encouraged to access Bridge and Engage on their computers, at special kiosks at the distribution center, or by downloading the Microsoft Teams app on their mobile devices. The Microsoft Teams app can be downloaded on the Apple app store or Google Play store. (Downloading apps to personal devices is optional.)
“It’s been great to see the excitement and enthusiasm that both the corporate office and distribution teams have shown for Bridge and Engage during our launch,” said Patrick Anglade, communications specialist. “We are thrilled to see the adoption and innovation that’s taking place.”
It’s anticipated that Bridge and Engage will be made available to team members at ARO stores in the coming weeks.
