Clark’s Market stores in Colorado and Utah, and Bowman’s in Kaysville, Utah, are stepping up their digital game by partnering with Instacart’s Carrot Ads. This move, supported by Associated Food Stores (AFS), represents a significant step forward in enhancing the online presence and retail media capabilities of these independent grocers.

Not only have Clark’s and Bowman’s expanded their media network capabilities but they also benefit from the revenue sharing opportunities. Carrot Ads participants, through AFS, receive 50 percent of campaign performance. (See the “sponsored” items in the accompanying graphic as examples of Carrot ads.)

AFS has joined forces with Instacart’s Carrot Ads to provide its member retailers with cutting-edge tools to thrive in the digital marketplace. Carrot Ads is designed to help grocers of all sizes establish and grow their retail media networks, opening new revenue streams on their own websites and apps.

With the implementation of Carrot Ads, Clark’s Market and Bowman’s will offer display ads alongside Instacart’s sponsored product solutions. This innovative approach allows national CPG brands to connect with consumers directly through the grocers’ e-commerce platforms, creating engaging, targeted banner ads that drive product awareness and encourage impulse purchases.

The partnership also offers access to closed-loop measurement and insights, enabling both grocers and brands to understand which strategies deliver the most value. This data-driven approach is expected to boost both online traffic and sales for Clark’s Market and Bowman’s, further strengthening their positions in the competitive grocery market.

“This opens a world of opportunities for enhanced revenue generation. Through our retail media network, retailers like Clark’s Market and Bowman’s stand to capitalize on increased website traffic, ultimately translating into a tangible income stream directly tied to their online presence. We’re very excited about the many opportunities this provides.”

As Clark’s Market and Bowman’s move forward with Carrot Ads, they are not just embracing a new advertising platform—they are positioning themselves at the forefront of the digital transformation in the grocery industry. This strategic move is expected to not only enhance their customer engagement but also drive significant growth in the years to come.
