Associated Retail Operations (ARO) is excited to share that an email was sent to their thousands of valued guests, extending heartfelt thanks for their incredible support throughout the past year and highlighting some of the many ways Macey’s, Lin’s, Dan’s, Dick’s Market and Fresh Market help their communities throughout the year. 

“As we reflect on the year, we are humbled by the generosity and commitment of our team. Each one of you played a pivotal role in facilitating numerous charitable efforts that made a significant impact in our communities,” said Greg Welling, vice president of retail operations. “Your dedication to making a positive difference has not only touched the lives of those we’ve helped but has also strengthened the neighborhoods we serve. Your collective efforts have made this year one of compassion, empathy, and meaningful contributions, and we are incredibly appreciative of all you do.”

As the year comes to a close, we are filled with gratitude for the incredible support and dedication you’ve shown in joining us on our journey of giving back.  

Together, we’ve made a significant impact on the lives of many in our local community, and we’re excited to share with you the highlights of the charitable events we undertook in 2023. This year, we combatted food insecurity through our Feeding the Hungry charitable effort.  

We have been able to gather and donate essential items to local pantries and schools. In total, we donated a total of $129,000. Through our School Supply Drive, we have worked together to empower local schools with essential resources. Your donations impacted the lives of students and educators at over 60 local schools for a total donation of $105,832 in school supplies.  

Our commitment to addressing food insecurity has also extended to the Harvest of Hope initiative. This year we donated $230,510.  

As we look back on these incredible achievements, we want to express our heartfelt appreciation for your integral role in making a positive difference in our local communities. Thank you for supporting us as your local grocery store, without your support we would not be able to have this kind of impact in the committees we serve.
