Associated Food Stores is thrilled to announce that the company has been honored with the Platinum Award from the Utah Worksite Wellness Council’s Healthy Worksite Awards Program. This prestigious recognition is reserved for organizations that excel in creating and nurturing a healthy, productive work environment, and this achievement reflects our commitment to fostering a culture of wellness among our team members.

Awarded based on a rigorous assessment process that evaluates practices using a “good, better, best” methodology—with a score of 90% or higher required for the platinum level—this award highlights AFS’ tireless dedication to implementing evidence-based health promotion initiatives. The success in this competitive program demonstrates how seriously AFS takes the health and well-being of every employee, ensuring that our workplace remains one where innovation and care go hand in hand.

Danielle Healis, AFS’s dedicated wellness facilitator, contributed heavily to Associated’s success. She was ecstatic about the win. “This award reflects AFS’s commitment to supporting the wellbeing of our valued team members,” she said. “Our wellness program was built on the belief that when employees thrive physically, mentally, and emotionally, everyone benefits. Thank you to every team member who has participated and embraced wellness as part of our company culture. This achievement belongs to you!”

At Associated Food Stores, we continuously strive to create an environment where employee health is top priority. Our ongoing efforts in promoting wellness are embedded in our daily operations—from comprehensive health programs to supportive initiatives that encourage mental and physical wellness, like rewards for daily walking or performing medical check-ups.

Congratulations to all team members, and the wellness team, for contributing to our success, and thank you for making AFS a leader in workplace wellness! But Danielle isn’t content to stop now. “I’m looking forward to continuing our wellness journey and finding new ways to support our most valuable asset – our people.”
