Associated Food Stores (AFS) is excited to announce a new weekly webinar series focused on educating retailers and team members about innovative marketing and data platforms. Running through early October, these sessions aim to enhance personalization and improve the shopping experience for customers.

Led by AFS marketing leaders Jessica Cronin (rewards and shopper loyalty), Thomas Horne (omni-channel), and Maddie Gilbert (digital marketing), along with tech partners, the webinars offer a unique opportunity to learn about cutting-edge solutions that will keep AFS competitive in the rapidly evolving retail landscape.

“This initiative has been in the works for a good three-and-a-half years, and now the timing’s right,” Jessica says. “As independent grocers, it’s putting us in a spot to compete with national chains.”

The upcoming webinar will spotlight Birdzi (pronounced “bird’s-eye”), an innovative provider of real-time indoor shopper engagement technology. Birdzi’s cloud-based platform transforms indoor spaces into intelligent, location-aware environments, enabling highly personalized experiences through email, website, and in-store interactions.

“Customers want to see what matters most to them,” Jessica explains. “Having a generic one-size-fits-all approach doesn’t work anymore. We need to share stories that matter to them.”

The impact of these new technologies will soon be readily visible for the consumer. “For example, you can soon go on the new Macey’s website and you may see different items than I see,” Jessica notes, highlighting the power of personalization.

These webinars represent AFS’s commitment to leveraging technology for providing convenience, power, and personalization for shoppers.

Team members and retailers across all departments are encouraged to participate and learn how these platforms can benefit their specific areas.

The webinar schedule can be viewed below. Retailers and team members interested in learning more about the benefits of these platforms can contact Jessica Cronin at jlcronin@afstores.com or 801-978-8983.
