On Friday, April 2, 2021, Bee’s Marketplace held a ribbon-cutting and flag-raising ceremony for their new 55,000 square-foot store in Colorado City.
August of 2013 saw the opening of Bee’s Marketplace serving the Colorado City community. Not long afterward it became apparent that the existing 8,200 square-foot store was not large enough to properly serve the area. The expanding growth created a need for a larger store and in the summer of 2019, a ground-breaking event for a new, much larger, store was held.
After nearly 18 months of construction, on March 15, 2021, Bee’s Marketplace welcomed the community into their new 55,000 square-foot facility. The new store offers many options never before available within the Colorado City/Hildale area. In addition to significantly expanding the meat, produce and grocery departments, additional services now offered include a full-service deli, pharmacy, Beans and Brew coffee house and an Arctic Circle restaurant.
“We are excited to be able to bring this store and additional services to our community,” expressed Richard Timpson, Bee’s Marketplace owner.
Timpson continued, “I have a passion for this community and the people who live here. I look forward to providing closer access to such important services.”
