AFS continues its tradition of hosting regional meetings to maintain strong connections between AFS members and the AFS team. These meetings, which take place throughout the company’s trade area, are a vital opportunity for collaboration and communication. Recent gatherings were held in Salt Lake City, Helena, and Billings, with two meetings in Idaho next on the agenda.

The meetings kicked off with an introduction from the President and CEO David Rice, followed by updates from other members of the AFS executive team.

Retailers also play a key role in the events. Presentations by retailers cover a wide variety of topics including electronic shelf labels, computer-generated ordering, new stores, department improvements and other relevant topics. All presentations provid practical ideas and inspiration for other retailers in attendance.

In addition to the retailer presentations, AFS leadership offered updates on several key topics, including a financial update, Project ROAR progress, advancements in technology, food safety legislation, marketing, cybersecurity and more. Supply chain updates were also discussed.

“We understand the importance of communication with our member owners,” said David Rice. “The opportunity to listen to ideas and answer questions from our retailers is crucial to our efforts to improve. It’s through this feedback that we learn what’s working well and identify areas where we can be even better.”

So far, Dave and the AFS Executive Team have held meetings in Helena and Billings, Montana and Salt Lake City, Utah with upcoming stops planned for Boise and Idaho Falls, Idaho, St. George, Utah, and Elko, Nevada. In addition to the meetings, the team has been visiting member stores along the way to strengthen relationships and gain firsthand insight.
